A simple charcuterie board for St. Patrick's Day is the perfect idea for after school snacks or for weekend get-togethers. Make the board or platter as large or as small as you would like depending on how many people you are serving. The ideas I am sharing below work well on a large or small scale! I used the traditional colors of St. Patrick's Day~ green and orange. Leprechaun colors make a fun charcuterie board theme! Technically, a charcuterie board has meat, but I used fruits, vegetables, and cheese.
I kept this board really simple. I chose items that were only orange and green and ended up with more options than I could even fit on the board. I like to use my Etu Home white board for fruit and cheese boards. Babybel Cheeses in orange and green wrappers are perfect for adding something unique and colorful to the board.
When I am placing everything on a board or platter, I start with the biggest item first. The green grapes were the first to be put on this board. I put them on and then built everything around them.
As you can see, I peeled Clementine oranges and added them around the grapes. Next I added white cheese sliced into thick rectangles. I put too matching, mini dishes on the board with two different pimento cheese options to try.
The pimento cheese on the left is Proper Pepper (my personal favorite) and on the right is a spicy pimento cheese by Sweetgrass Dairy. They are both delicious, but it is nice to have different ones to try. I like having one that is mild and one that has a little kick to it. I served celery and crackers to go with all of the cheeses. There were 3 types of crackers on this board, but feel free to add as many or as few different kinds as you like. I think it is nice to have at least 2, just for variety- but you can keep it easy!
The last item I added was dill for garnish and to fill in any spots that looked bare. I love the look and texture of dill. Herbs are always an easy way to dress up any charcuterie board and put on the finishing touches. I hope this gives you ideas to use with your family and friends! Enjoy!
