A pink and green Christmas napkin by Giddy Paperie was the spark that inspired this bright and happy pink and green Christmas Brunch! Leslie Chalfont, of Giddy Paperie, designed this bold pink poinsettia and gold jingle bell holiday pattern~ and I was immediately drawn to the playful, unexpected twist on a holiday favorite. Leslie lives in Florida, and so she is surrounded by the happy colors of Florida living. Palm Beach pink and green have always been a favorite combo for so many of us, and it is a nice change of pace to design a table setting and party idea with a unique color palette for Christmas.
As you can see in the photo below, the table was set for 2~ but this theme could easily fill an entire large table and spread even more holiday cheer! With a bar cart close by for holding drinks and extra serving pieces, the small table works perfectly for inviting a friend over for an enjoyable brunch.
In Florida fashion, I used rattan glasses for serving orange juice on the garden stool and made good use of a vintage handbag sewn with straw flowers.
A small gathering can often mean splurging a little on party favors or gifts. I love the idea of placing a Bauble Stocking on the back of each chair along with some greenery and ribbon. The miniature needle point stocking could hold a small gift or even be filled with small candies. The stocking itself is a wonderful gift- and so you could simply add a name to tuck inside- and let the name peek out at the top of the stocking.
Anytime that you host a party, I always say bring a little bit of the outside in for a simple and pretty addition. For this party idea, I added a potted palm tree and boxwood clippings to the party room. Don't be afraid to look around on your porch and in your yard for ideas to use to make your party more inviting.
For the table, I started with a white tablecloth so that the pink and green could show up well. I added a green and white wide striped fabric runner that I made out of fabric from the local fabric store. Next, I added some of my favorite pink ribbon placemats.
One of my favorite finds in an antique store is this lidded serving dish with a green diamond pattern and a pink bow on top! I would serve hot cheese grits from this piece for a brunch!
To keep the centerpiece simple for such a small table (but still interesting!), I added colorful gum balls to the pineapple with hot glue. I had planned to use small ornaments but couldn't find the colors that I wanted. The gum balls gave me more color options and had the same effect! To finish it, I tied a bow on each side of the pineapple.
Even Tuck kept his eyes on the gum balls. Lol! He was taken with all of the holiday cheer- but anything in the shape of a ball will always be his favorite.
I also added vintage bottle brush trees that were gold with tiny colored ornaments to the table. Small place cards in wooden pineapple place card holders were also part of the table setting.
Lots of gold accents on the plates and the flatware made everything shimmer and shine for the holidays, too!
There were lots of drink options such as coffee, orange juice, and wine. Rose' wine or Prosecco would be a perfect choice for this party. Another option would be a Pink Poinsettia cocktail.
For a brunch or breakfast, I love starting off with a half of a grapefruit ready to be served to your family or guests.
The bar cart was set with places for drinks and then filled with topiaries and bottle brush trees.
The stunning vintage jewelry wreath is by Parker Kennedy Living~ they are the most unique decorations full of elegant whimsy. They are another of my favorite items to use to decorate for Christmas.
I really loved adding a bottle brush tree to the pagoda candle holder. I think it fits perfectly- it looks like they were made for each other!
I added extra bottle brush trees around the pagoda~
What a fun theme and a fun way to kick off, celebrate, or close out a holiday season. A casual brunch with a little dash of holiday glitz is always interesting! I love serving up ideas for you and love hearing your ideas, too! Share your favorite part or if you would venture to do a non-traditional party like this at Christmas- it's a unique spin that is sure to be memorable!
