When I was little, my parents had an old original teacher's version (it was really big for using with a class) of Dick and Jane. They donated it to a museum, but I wish they still had it- what a relic it would be! This party by Mariah, of Giggles Galore, was inspired by a Dick and Jane book that her parents had- and it inspired the most adorable party for Mariah's twins Parker and Piper...P is for Party (and Parker, and Piper)! I love the wording on the sweet invitation...
Mariah decorated with vintage toys, books, and games~
The food table had such a perfect backdrop- I love the old-fashioned favor bags that were hung as decoration and then were for the guests to take with them at the end of the party. So smart!
Other decorations included handmade party hats and fans- made from newspaper!
The beautiful and classic cake was made by Mariah's mother...
Pink Lemonade was served in glass bottles fitted with fabric covers and retro straws~
Popcorn looked great served in cones made by Mariah and placed in a Coca~Cola crate!
Mariah also put together lunches for the children in handmade wax paper bags- I love that idea!
Old-fashioned games kept the children busy- one was a cake walk where the children won cupcakes placed in decorated boxes. The rosettes on the cupcakes are adorable!
The beautiful birthday twins look like they had a wonderful birthday! P is for Perfect!
