Ole’! What a fun line-up of treats that you can make with your children or a classroom to celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Norene, of Party Pinching, is back today with her always cute and creative treat ideas that are easy to make and easy on the wallet! This first treat is a Rice Krispies Treat disguised as red peppers! Norene added candy eyes and fondant stems and a hat- I love how she displayed them in Hot Tamale Candies!
This SOMBRERO is simply made from a sponge cake with a half of a Twinkie added on top.
Add zig-zags with frosting and place Skittles or M&M’s around the brim of hat.
I love these blooming cacti that Norene placed in a food-safe pot! She used brownie bites, frosting, and sprinkles~ you could also use a cupcake!
Norene shows how you can turn an ordinary cupcake (homemade or store-bought) into something FESTIVE with just a few easy additions!
Here, Norene uses store bought cookies that were already frosted and sprinkled and simply added a gumdrop wrapped with a strip of a Fruit Roll-Up for instant and easy Sombrero Cookies!
Lastly, Norene shares one more of her ideas using a Rice Krispies Treat recipe and molding it into a cactus…dip in green candy melts and add a few decorations using fondant, candy eyes, and an edible writing pen!
Party Pinching is a fabulous website full of creative and fun ideas for the whole year through! You will love all of Norene’s creations! Thank you for sharing your treats with us, Norene!
