This Pizza Party is ROLLING in fabulous party ideas!! Maureen Anders, of Anders-Ruff Designs, planned and hosted this fantstic party for her son- with games, activities, pizza-making, sweets, and decorations! The details will amaze you and will give you lots of ideas from which to choose when planning a pizza party of your own. I'd say, "That's Amore'"!
Maureen used countless references to a "real" pizzeria when designing the party- notice the stainless steel to mimic a pizza pan for the cake plate and the adorable gingham curtains and chairback covers!
The chandeliers were made from wooden forks and spoons and were hung from the lights in her kitchen...
These are one of my favorite DIY details of this party! Maureen made these herself and they are fabulous!
Each guest had a place setting at the table~ really cute baskets with all of the ingredients needed for making their own pizza at the party! Each name was put on a rolling pin and was ready for the pizza-making!
The guests had everything that they needed to make the pizza including premade dough, a rolling pin, a pizza pan, sauce and toppings, utensils, and a couple of mustache adhesives! A pizza cutter was included but only used with adult supervision. When the kids arrived, they were given custom t-shirts to wear along with aprons and chef hats!
While the pizzas cooked, the guests had several games and activities they could do...
Maureen designed a version of the game Cornhole and re-named it "Pizza Hole"...she also designed a large coloring poster so that the guests could decorate a scene straight out of Italy...
And, just like in any kid-friendly pizzeria, there were games on a placemat for the kiddos to enjoy, too!
Maureen also made a chef hat garland as a decoration- it is such a cute idea!
And, there were chef hat cake pops to match!
Maureen set up an entire sweets station that served up "faux" pizza toppings and italian food- it was really all made of candy and was a sweet surprise for all of the guests! Caprese Salad was really made of chocolate covered Oreos and marshmallow with candy basil...
Cookies were made to look like little pizzas...and were served in lasagna dishes!
Cookies with the Pizzeria logo...
Oreos in gingham!
Candies were given different names to go along with the pizza theme- I know the kids had a good laugh with all of the trick candy!
Green olives above and red pepper flakes below...
Chocolate mustaches were a big hit, too!
Guests could put their sweet pizza treats in mini pizza boxes to get them safely home~ and there were adorable muslin bags for taking home other favors such as the placemats and crayons...
And, you know a trip to a pizzeria wouldn't be complete without a mint or two as you walk out of the door!
This party is definitely one to bookmark! With such a great theme that is loved by so many children and could be perfect for a variety of ages, how can you not want to visit this one again and again! Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful party, Maureen! It is truly fantastico!!
