@seaisland is always the perfect place to celebrat @seaisland is always the perfect place to celebrate something special. This year, my family and I headed down to the Georgia coast to spend Easter weekend while I presented table setting ideas to the members and guests. It will be a weekend I will always remember because my parents were able to be there too! There’s nothing quite like the beauty of Sea Island- and the level of hospitality and southern graciousness! I hope you enjoy this quick stroll about~ #southernhospitality #seaisland

    Forum Description

The excitement of spring weather and all things green and beautiful are always great inspiration for setting tables for spring! Living in the southern US, we are treated to tastes of spring in February, usually, when flowers begin to pop out and bud. We never know if it will last~ or if winter will return for a day or two, but it gives us all a fresh energy. If the ground is still covered in snow where you live, I invite you to create spring inside your home with flowers from the grocery store or market and a spring-looking table cloth or set of china.  Here, I used a new tablecloth that I think will be my go-to for all of spring and summer~ and I used flowers from Trader Joe's. The china is fresh from the china cabinet. Put it all together, and you have set the scene for spring in your home~ which is an instant mood-booster! green table setting for two with pink flowers   The pop of green from the small dessert dishes make this setting shine. I always encourage you to look for unique finds in vintage and antique shops. I found the green glass plates and dessert glasses at a local shop in Athens, but there are so many places that carry green glass dishes. You can collect pieces rather than an entire set and use them to add personality to your tables. You can see how small they are in the photo below. I have had them for years and have used them so many times for different reasons. table for two with white tablecloth with pink bows and pink and green flowers The flower arrangement was fun to make to coordinate with the small table and to tie the colors together.  Because the table is small, I used a vase that has a pedestal attached. It is white milk glass, and the way it is elevated helps it not take up too much space on the table. I also arranged the flowers so that they would not require too much space up against the wall. I always think of it as a peacock feather arrangement, and it works for when you need flowers within a smaller space. pink and green flowers in a white pedestal vase I used shamrock hydrangeas at the bottom of the flower arrangement and added the taller flowers in the back so that the table space would still be very usable.  The light pink tulips placed in tie it all together and still leave plenty of room for conversation and eating. table setting with pink and green If you want to add a little drama, fluff out the oversized tablecloth for a fun wow factor. It can also be easily folded to make it smaller and less dramatic. :) I do really love this tablecloth. It is white with pink ribbons tied in bows. I think it makes the perfect backdrop for so many tables. I also like changing the chairs at our tables quite often. I interchange indoor and outdoor with what we have to make each table feel interesting and special. This table is perfect for a pair of friends ready to catch up over lunch. overhead view of table set with pink green and yellow A pink and green combo always feels fresh and classic- dressed up or dressed down.  What's your favorite color to pair with green? Leave me a comment below and let me know- it is always fun to hear what you love!  I hope you find inspiration to use something green around your home and start enjoying the effects of spring inside or out!   spring table setting with pink green and gold   Want to see another way I used these green dessert dishes? Go to my daughter's party, Camille's Clubhouse, and see one of my favorite ways we have enjoyed them! Cheers, Friends! Lydia xo
