A birthday cake, a lot of fun…a tiny hostess who is turning ONE!

The invitation established the color scheme and the party was designed around it and the birthday girl.

Lots of tulle was used to decorate, and the cake was designed based on the invitation that was given to the fabulous baker.

The top of the cake was made to be the “smash cake”…

Cousins of the birthday girl were happy to share in the party!

I love having personal touches for all birthday parties, but the first birthday is extra special.  The pram was what the birthday girl slept in as a newborn, and so it was used to hold the gifts that were brought to the party…

Having a group shot of everyone who attended the first birthday party makes for great memories in the photo album!

The birthday girl had a quick wardrobe change so that she could really enjoy playing with her new gifts!

And the party favors for all…simple customized white chocolate pops made by the baker!

Enjoy!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
