This party by “And Everything Sweet” will have you chirping!  Sweet friends got together to celebrate a baby on the way and help “feather the nest” of their dear friend.  With so many beautiful treats and details, this party would be perfect for a shower theme and a birthday theme!  Kate is quite a “do-it-yourself-er” and added so many sweet touches that can be used when the baby arrives!

 Kate made the cake herself…

She is quite talented!  Look at all of the sweet details…

How adorable are the little bird cookies?  Kate made those, too!

Cookie Dough Truffle Pops were a big hit with a recipe from Paula Deen!

These little bird nests, made by one of the hostesses, are some of my favorites!

Strawberry cupcakes were topped with handmade flowers…

Look how clever the fabric wrapped around the water bottles is…secured with a mini diaper pin!

And lemonade was served in Mason jars with painted lids!

The guests were asked to “Sign In and Leave a Tweet” for baby Emily.  Beside the message board, Kate placed this adorable letter E that she made from yarn and felt.  It will be used in the nursery!

I still can’t get over how cute this wreath is…and Kate made that, too!  Right down to the little wooden doll!

Each guest also had a chance to make a clip for the new baby.  They could choose their ribbon and embellish the clip anyway they liked!  What a sweet gift for a baby girl~

Guests were also given a bird seed ornament to hang in their trees at home to help feed the birds this winter…I think it is safe to say these hostesses thought of everything!

What a fabulous party and a group of fabulous friends!  Thank you for sharing the fun with us, Kate!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
