Cris, of Crissy’s Crafts, put together this fun-loving, laid-back, beachy-keen shindig for her husband to celebrate Father’s Day!  Having grown-up by the beach, Cris and her husband both share a love for all things beach- which makes inspiration for this celebration a natural choice!

Cris’ husband is not a big sweets-eater, and so she put a lot of emphasis on savory treats for him to enjoy- such as this cute crabwich!

I love how Cris used beach fencing as part of her display to add to the beach feel!

Cris also served Dad his favorite beach drink~ and offered cold lemonade for the children!

The sweet treats that Cris DID make for her family’s Father’s Day Celebration couldn’t be more sea-worthy!

Pearl Bite Cookies are adorable (recipe from Family Fun)~

Along with sandy Starfish S’mores…

And, the Pearl Cake Bites are so elegantly served…

I also love how Cris used shell buttons to embellish the sandy-brown favor boxes~

I can’t think of a better way to remember this fun Father’s Day Celebration…this gift is truly Beachy Keen!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
