Fairies are always a fascination for children, and so they always make for a fun party theme! This little birthday girl loves fairies but not the pink and purple variety! Her request for a Fairy Party put mom Melissa’s creative mind in high gear as she incorporated the theme using a unique color palette of green, yellow, red, and orange! Melissa, of Melissa Newell Party Stylist and Planner/My Party Passion styled this woodland delight for fairies and woodsmen, alike!
“Older Fairies” visited and read fairy stories to the young fairies and woodsmen. Melissa was sure to stay true to the “not too girly” approach to the party with her books while engaging the guests with entertaining selections~ and story time took place in the “Enchanted Forest”…
The dessert table was straight from the forest with tree stumps and a fairy house~ and lots of wings!
Snacks were also served in the ADORABLE MUSHROOM GROTTO! How cute! Melissa used red mouse pads and added dots to resemble mushroom tops! I love this “Grotto”! And, I always love how patterned candy cups make the cutest serving pieces for snacks!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS
Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time! My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun! Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes! For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor! LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS
There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party! For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style! So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan! It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN! Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.
CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa
My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday! She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting! With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together. And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things! We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”. That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
