A little girl’s love for dolls is the focal point of this beautiful birthday celebration by ViaBlossom!  Birthday girl, Isabella, loves dolls, flowers, and butterflies~ and the colors yellow, pink, and red!  And so, Cristina and Maggie designed this festive party to incorporate all of the favorites and to celebrate a super, special (and delightfully pretty) day!

Rag dolls are playfully placed among the gorgeous ruffle cake and beautiful handmade topiaries~

The topiaries were made using Petite Blossom Cups~ they are so cute and I love the striped stems!

So many gorgeous displays of desserts were on hand to sweeten the day even more!  Look how cute the cake pop flowers are~

They were placed in painted flower pots…

Flowers and hearts top yummy chocolate treats…

The party set-up is so lovely- I love the white chairs with the pink seat covers and the perfect way each place was set for the guests!

A fabulous drink cart held watermelon lemonade for the girls to enjoy~

And, the favors for each girl to take home as the party ended…berry baskets filled with dresses and hair accessories for their dolls.  How cute!

What a gorgeous party, ViaBlossom!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas for hosting a doll party!  The party design is fabulous!!

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
