GOODY, GOODY, GUMDROPS!  BIRTHDAY CAKE AND LOLLIPOPS!

This party was for a 3rd birthday and was full of lollipops!  Every color and size made it to the party, and it was quite a happy place to be for the birthday girl and her sweet guests! The invitation was a lollipop shape wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon.  It read…Goody, Goody, Gumdrops!  Birthday Cake and Lollipops!  The party details were listed and the reply said “…please reply lickity-split…”

The party guests were greeted at the front door by three giant lollipops in buckets filled with gumdrops…and a few funny ants that found their way to the sugar!

As the guests arrived, they each had a lollipop waiting for them that was made from homemade play dough.  This helped keep them happily busy as they made new creations out of their lollipop dough.

The play dough lollipops were placed in cellophane and tied with a ribbon to keep them from drying before the party.

There were lollipops everywhere…

And lots of happy faces!!

Happy, messy faces…

If he only knew how much better the other end was…

Each guest went home with a lollipop drum and drumstick~

And, of course, a lollipop of their choice!

After the guests were gone, the birthday girl couldn’t wait to do this!

Or to get to play with all of her new gifts from her generous friends!

LOADS OF SUGARY FUN!!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa

My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday!  She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting!  With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together.  And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things!  We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”.  That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
