What’s red, and brown, and ivory all over? A Sock Monkey, of course! With the color scheme carried through in all of the details of the party and sock monkeys displayed in the cutest of ways, mom Christy throws a party FULL OF DO-IT-YOURSELF details! Mom Christy made all of the cute decorations for the party- including the Birthday Boy’s party hat and the banner on the highchair that spelled “I AM ONE”!
The cake, cupcakes, macarons, and candies stayed with the party colors and tied it all together perfectly!
The Birthday Boy received this fabulous, shiny, red tricycle for his birthday! I love how he checked it out from all angles!
And, one of my favorite details…the guests received a jar of ingredients to make homemade Oatmeal Chocolate Cookies. Christy added red and brown M&M’s to match the party colors and made labels for each jar with baking directions…

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time! My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun! Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes! For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor! CAMILLE’S CLUBHOUSE ~ Confectionery, Soda Shoppe, Spa
My daughter had lots of ideas of what she wanted to do to celebrate her 10th birthday! She wanted to have lots of cookies~ and have a soda shoppe ~ and set up a spa for nail painting! With so many ideas, I knew we should come up with something that would tie it all together. And, that is how Camille’s Clubhouse became the theme- the Clubhouse is where you can find lots of her favorite things! We sent invitations with a an insert that had a “password” that had to be unscrambled and brought to the party for “entry”. That was an easy way to get the guests involved before the party even started!
