Oh my, what a hoe down! This party for little Kash was styled by his mom, Candice, and is a barnyard bash served up with style!  Candice and her husband put their own touches on this adorable party for their son including homemade signage, homemade cakepops and snacks, handmade burlap banners and wreaths, and most importantly, a downhome good time!  Yee Haw!

I love how Candice displayed the Pony-on-a-Stick-Cakepops on Rice Krispies Hay Stacks!

Wow, the horse treats are just so cute!  The fondant toppers combined with the monogrammed cupcake wrappers are such a great way to dress up cupcakes.

Ponies on a Stick…

Candice added so many special touches to the party.  There were hats for each guest and photos of Kash throughout the party.

There was a Bug Spray and Cool Down Station- definitely a great idea on a hot, hot day!

The children enjoyed many games.  I love the pony “tails” made of raffia that were used for “Pin the Tail on the Horsey”…

For party favors, Candice had magnets made for each family to take home to use and to have as a momento of the fun day!

Each child also had personalized buckets full of treats to take home…

Such a fabulous shindig!  Thank you so much for sharing your son’s party, Candice!

LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE PARTY

What began as a simple gesture to introduce my daughter to a wonderful book series has become a special evening ritual for us- reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House books!  I must admit, I didn’t realize quite how interesting these books would be to her, but she cannot wait to read all nine in the series.  It was only fitting that her birthday party focus around Little House on the Prairie!  Together, we had a ball planning all of the details of her party that related to the books in some way.  At Camille’s request, we focused on some of her favorite parts of the stories… prairie flowers, covered wagons, tee pees, the colors in the drawings of the books,  and “pretty”…because “Ma” liked things to be pretty!

TEA PARTY FOR LONDON

Oh, my- what a tea party!  With so many unique and cute details, you will love seeing this darling party by The Sweetest Affair!  Mom Aaliyah planned this sweet affair for her own daughter London- and hosted a tea party with whimsical flair.  With a candy-covered tea pot, a funny spout of tea (made from Sixlets candy) shooting from teapot to tea cup, and a precious book on two-year old etiquette, this party was fit for a Birthday Queen!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

MY MOM’S 70th BIRTHDAY

My mom loves yellow.  She loves daisies, hydrangeas, and yellow roses~ and, most of all, she really loves her family!  I had so much fun bringing all of her favorites together to help her celebrate her 70th birthday.   Her cousins are more like her sisters, and so we invited them to spend a weekend at the lake to help us celebrate!
