A party truly fit for a queen (or a tiny princess)!  What a lovely and fabulous party designed by Kelly Lyden of The Well-Heeled Hostess and The Party Dress and photographed by April Pizana!  The details are amazing from the moment you enter the party via the castle towers made of balloons~ scroll to the end for all of the many images by April and details told by Kelly!  This party has so much thought to design~ one of my favorite design elements is the princess silhouette used throughout the party!  There is so much to see!

The cake is so beautiful and I love how the silhouettte is used on the cake!

Table settings were beautifully styled and food stations were set-up throughout the home.  The dessert table is stunning and sweet!

What a grand entrance for a princess party- castle towers flanking the doorway!

Inside the “Castle”, guests were treated to a variety of food and beverage choices. Also, notice the silhouette on the mirror in the background…that was created for the party by Kelly Lyden of WH Hostess and coordinates with the paper goods and other silhouettes throughtout the party…

What a beautiful table setting…

Each guest shopped from the “Dress Shoppe” for their perfectly customized princess attire…

Gorgeous tutus awaited each girl!

As did all of the accessories a princess could wish for!

I’m overwhelmed by all of the cuteness!  Thank you for sharing this lovely party with us, April- your photography is gorgeous and captures how beautiful the details of the party are! What a fun day for all of the children, family, and friends!!

So fabulous!  Please read on to learn all of the details from Kelly~

Alexandra turned four this past fall, and her mom asked me to design a party fit for a princess.  We decided on a pastel palette of pale pink, icy blue, yellow and lilac, and used a princess silhouette and our custom patterns throughout the whole party.
When guests arrived, they were greeted with two princess towers made out of balloons flanking the front door.  The foyer held a lush, ombre rose centerpiece and guests were immediately invited into the “Fairy Godmother’s Dress Shoppe” where they “shopped” for dress-up clothes, magic wands, jewels, crowns & tiaras, etc.  The table was set up like a stylized dessert table, with a custom-designed fabric backdrop. There were Princesses milling about, and face painting each of the guests.
The kids table was set with a custom blue striped table runner that we custom designed with the princess silhouette on each end, white Chivari chairs that were accessorized with colorful stars, and a centerpiece that was to-die-for: dense rose vases (wrapped in gold glitter paper), held ribbon-wrapped poles and a pennant banner that soared above the table.  Milk bottles were dressed up with glitter washi tape, and each placesetting held a “make-your-own-necklace” kit on our cello bags with custom toppers.
Guests were treated to a delicious lunch buffet, set up in the dining room.  Decor included a large princess silhouette cling on the mirror, large rose centerpieces in white urns, and coordinating food tent cards and napkin ties.
The dessert table stole the show!  The table was draped in pink satin, and flanked by two oversized pink balloons with hanging tassels.  The custom fabric backdrop featured our pastel star pattern and Alexandra’s name with a glittered crown. A princess cake stood center stage, flanked by cookie “magic wands”, cupcakes with fondant gold crowns atop them, candy necklaces and bracelets, colorful macarons, crown sugar cookies, and various candies.  The table was accessorized with our coordinating Cake Plate Clings, food tent cards and candy jar tags, as well as pink striped bags with our princess sticker for guests to fill to the brim with candy to bring home.
A horse-drawn carriage was the ultimate surprise and gave the children rides around the neighborhood. The party not only turned out just beautifully, but it also created such a magical experience for the children!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

BEAUTY QUEEN BIRTHDAY

This gorgeous and adorable party was designed by LookieBoo for her little girl who was celebrating her 2nd birthday.  Her parents have always called her their “Beauty Queen” which became the obvious theme for her celebration.  With a windy, rainy day to add drama to their day, the party was rushed inside and displayed beautifully.  LookieBoo definitely earned her crown with this delightfully girly party for her daughter, Ruby Mae!
