Disco balls, boas, push pop microphones, …I was recently asked to help add some fun and girlie details to a Rockstar Party, and I loved finding ways to incorporate rockin’ details while keeping the party sweet enough for a five year old! Pink and lavender were the requested colors- I added a touch of silver, a Pop Star Soda Bar and lots of fun with lights!
The backdrop was made using an art canvas. I drew a sketch of my design on the back, and then I punched holes in the canvas with a nail. Next, I put a string of clear lights through the holes as I went. Secure each light with a Glue Dot. I added paper tissue poms using Glue Dots to secure on front. Glue Dots are available by the box at craft stores.
Disco balls were strung with pink, lavender, and purple ribbons…and used to decorate the serving tables and the Pop Star Soda Bar backdrop.
I used smaller canvases (8×10) for the table signs and used the same method make the lighted signs. Orbs lit up the Soda Bar with a pink glow! Pink Soda, lavender ribbons, and custom labels add so much!
Stardust Doughnuts were gone in a flash! An EASY treat to serve…powdered doughnuts with a rock star wand!
The party favors were microphones made from push pop containers with custom labels and ribbons…and filled with pink and white candy.
Perfect for a Dance Party, too! I used many of the same ideas and designed a Dance Party the following week- GO HERE to see similar ideas for this theme. I hope you find some rock star inspiration!
