You will want this traveling circus to make its first stop in your town!  A Vintage Polka Dot Circus is the focus of this darling party with witty details and cheerful colors.  If you have a little Madagascar 3 movie fan in your home, you will love this delightful party design by Dina of Deliciously Darling Events! Step Right Up and enjoy The Greatest Party on Earth!

I especially love the polka dot straw that adds the perfect touch to Dina’s homemade cake pops!

Dina was inspired by the fact that the characters in the movie joined an old European Traveling Circus, and she knew this Vintage Circus Collection from Spaceships and Laserbeams would be the perfect fit to give the party a non-commercialized feel while staying true to the plot!

Dina made the cake herself…it was her favorite part of the dessert display!

I love it that she added wigs to the characters on the cake!  Too funny!

The Twizzler Tightrope is another one of my favorite little funny details…

The tables are lined with ticket strips- an easy and really cute way to dress up a circus party table!

So much fun!  What a great way to enjoy a movie and celebrate with a unique theme!  Thank you for sharing, Dina!

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
