Climb aboard this Choo Choo Train Party for a fun ride filled with sweet treats and a fabulous time for all!  Christie, of Flaired Affairs, styled this party for a little engineer that was turning two!  Notice all of the cute train details throughout- like a baggage claim area and suitcases for displaying sweets!  Hop on and have a ride!  First stop…the dessert station!

I love the cookies and how they are surrounded with blue fringe and red candy!

I am sure all of the little guests would love to load a suitcase full of these yummies~ marshmallow pops look so cute stowed in colorful luggage…

Along with chocolate train lollipops!

Fun train fondant toppers keep the cupcakes chugging right along…

The chocolate-covered Oreos are some of my favorites!  I love the polka dot pattern!

Rock Candy is also a favorite among the conductors!

I also love the cute little boxes that served the kettle corn!

And, the cotton candy…

How cute are the candy bar wrappers?

The cake was topped with a customized train topper~

At “Baggage Claim” the guests could pick up their favor boxes filled with cute train treasures!

So cute, Christie!  Thank you for sharing these great ideas for a train party!

LILLY PULITZER CAKE DECORATING FLAMINGO BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

There is nothing like the bright colors and happy prints of Lilly Pulitzer to make every day feel like a party!  For my daughter’s 12th birthday party, she wanted to decorate cakes~ Lilly-style!  So, in order to decide how to mesh the two, I kept thinking “if Lilly had a cake shop instead of a juice stand”… I have to admit, this was one fun party to plan!  It is a blast to see where ideas go in the hands of a TWEEN!  Enjoy and remember, “…being happy never goes out of style!”.

CAMILLE’S FIESTA ~ MEXICAN THEME BIRTHDAY PARTY IDEAS

Celebrating your birthday with a Mexican Fiesta is a sure way to have a great time!  My daughter and several of her friends had a ball with all of the bright colors and (hopefully) vivid memories of a beautiful party day full of fun!  Planning all of the party ideas and details was loads of fun- although we don’t claim to have everything authentically perfect- this is our take on a party that combines Mexican birthday party ideas with a young girl’s likes and wishes!  For instance, we know hedgehogs don’t hail from Mexico- but when she fell in love with a festive-looking hedgehog at a local shop, we decided the hedgehog would make a perfectly fun party favor!  So read on and enjoy- and hopefully you will find an idea or two that you can use for a Mexican-themed party or even a Cinco de Mayo celebration, too- and inspiration to incorporate ideas that make your party perfectly-suited for the birthday child!

Birthday Party Ideas for a Teen- How to Celebrate a TEEN

Wow! My daughter turned into a teen!  Sometimes it can be tricky to decide what to do to celebrate this milestone.  I wanted to share with you some ideas that may help if you want to mark the occasion but also keep it low-key.  At first, my daughter wanted to have a very large sleepover to celebrate.  I loved it that she wanted to include everyone she knew, but laughed at the thought of trying to corral close to 30 tweens and teens! So, I told her she could have a little, bitty, teeny sleepover and her “real” party could be bubble soccer (which she had been begging to do at this huge sleepover she was planning ).  So, realizing the play on words with a “teeny” party, we went with the TEENY theme and used as many miniature things as we could.  It was such a fun theme and the ideas could go on forever…but this is what we decided on for her teeny, little sleepover.
