The kids’ table might be the best seat in the house with these cute ideas for Easter! I was so happy to be asked to share a few ideas with Dawn, of The Nashville Mom, recently. We chatted live on Instagram (you can see the replay on The Nashville Mom’s IGTV). I hope you find a few resources and ideas that you can use for this Easter or for birthday parties and celebrations to come!
Children bring so much spirit to the table and they will absolutely love seeing the table set just for them. I like to delight them with small flower arrangements that are low and filled with bright, happy flowers. I bought 2 packs of tulips and a pack of chamomile from Trader Joes to make these 4 vase arrangements. I added pink bunny balloons to each flower arrangement for a whimsical and very un-stuffy feel for the table. I like for my little guests to feel right at home, too!
For the center, focal point, I put a vase of chamomile in a pastel pink basket and then elevated the basket on a cake stand to give it the right height. I added the prettiest chinoiserie eggs that were hand drawn by Marcie at Made by Mollie’s Mom. I love how the blue is a perfect contrast to the flowers on the table. What a sweet gift, Marcie- thank you!!
I also used baskets as part of the place settings. They are perfect to use to hold the food that will be served to the kids. I suggest a simple picnic style lunch for the kiddos. You could serve sandwiches, lettuce wraps, carrots and celery with hummus, veggie chips, fruit, and a small dessert. I would choose 3-4 items and have them ready to put in the baskets when it is time for lunch to be served. You can see more ideas in the IGTV video that is saved at The Nashville Mom. It was a treat to get to share ideas with Dawn, and I look forward to doing it again, soon!
Happy Easter!
Cheers,
